HAMBURGER BAHNHOF 2009-2010

Since november 2008, Udo Kittelmann is the director of the old and new Nationalgalerie (national gallery) and the famous Hamburger Bahnhof - Museum für Gegenwartskunst (museum for contemporary art). With his exhibition "Die Kunst ist super!", Kittelmann premiered in the autumn of 2009 in Berlin. His idea was to rearrange the collections of the Nationalgalerie, the collection Marx, the Friedrich Christian Flick Collection and the collection Marzona and to present them in combination with exhibits on loan of various artists.

The Tucson Gem Show, spread throughout the city, is a colourful hustle and bustle of dealers and buyers from all over the world. The REDGALLERY followed up the business successes of the previous years.

The presentation of the special selected works of art and the new ways of placement and arrangement regardless of formal, historical or contextual specification, points out, that Kittelmann attaches greater importance on suggestion than on traceability. Art is fantastic - Die Kunst ist super! With this exhibition, unique exhibits of the inimitable collection of Andreas Guhr can be admired. For example, a one billion years old gigantic bizarre boulder, placed opposite to a sculpture of the artist Baselitz. Under a ceiling fresco by Daniel Richter there are amethyst druses, entitled as "tourists" by Richter.
